Abbas Sheraugin, spokesman for the National Committee to Combat the Corona Virus in Iran, said that 14 million Iranians have not started vaccination against the corona virus even with a single dose. He pointed out that “in the past two years and 100 days since the start of the Corona virus outbreak, there have been many difficulties, as 6 waves of the disease have passed in the country, the most severe of which were those in which the number of victims reached about 700 people per day due to Corona virus delta mutant infection.
He added: “The wave of the Omicron mutant was wider and faster than its predecessors, but its period was short and did not exceed two months, and the number of deaths was from 240 to 250 deaths per day,” noting that “the number of deaths from the virus crown has declined over this period.” The last in the country until it hit single digits and no deaths were recorded last Thursday, while in many countries the death toll has reached significant numbers, such as the United States with 216 cases, Germany 126 cases, Canada 122 cases and 105 deaths in the UK.
