GoFundMe Shuts Down Amber Heard’s $1M Fake Fundraising Campaign Allegedly Helping Johnny Depp Pay

GoFundMe has reportedly shut down Amber Heard’s $1 million fake fundraising event after she lost a civil lawsuit Wednesday, alleging they were raising money to help the actress pay for her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Shortly after Wednesday’s decision, a man named Kimberly Moore ran a fundraiser claiming that Heard helped pay Depp the millions of dollars he owed Depp in defamation, according to a TMZ report.

“I believe that Amber and social media protect the harasser,” she said, reading the statement of the donation campaign. “Judgment has exceeded his net worth. Unfortunately, he gets away with insults. The decision contributes to this abuse. If you can, help him. ”

Moore said that Heard contacted the legal team and insisted that the actress would have direct access to the proceeds, while a GoFundMe spokesperson told TMZ that they quickly flagged the fundraiser as fraudulent before it could raise a huge value.

The page was later deleted, and GoFundMe said it will continue to look for fake pages.

Depp accused Heard of defaming Heard in 2018 Washington Post An article in which she describes herself as a victim of domestic violence and claims that it has damaged her film career. Heard filed a $100 million counterclaim.

On Wednesday, the jury ruled in all three libel cases that Depp won. Pirates of the Caribbean $10 million in damages and $5 million in punitive damages. However, the penalties were reduced to $350,000 under Virginia law, which limits penalties to that amount.

The jury also found in Heard’s favor in one of his two cases, awarding him $2 million in damages, but no penalty. Thus, it is assumed that the player owes Depp $ 8.35 million in compensation.

Heard is now reportedly “harmed” by overspending and rising legal fees as a result of a lengthy legal battle.

Also, the actress’ own lawyer, Elaine Charleson Bredehof, told reporters. tonight’s show On Thursday, Hurd “failed to fully pay” Depp an estimated $8.35 million in damages.
