ROME. The Catholic Bishops of the United States declared “unity” in the church in Nigeria, condemning the latest deadly attack on Christians.
In a statement published Wednesday on the website of the Conference of Bishops (USCCB), St. at least 50 people died.

Malloy also noted that just three weeks ago, “a young Christian student was accused of blasphemy and brutally murdered by fellow students” and that “riots broke out against several buildings of the church” when police arrested the two lynching suspects.
The Bishop reiterated the United States Bishops’ continued support for the Church in Nigeria “to ensure peace between shepherds and farmers and to ensure reliable and transparent elections”, particularly in the face of terrorist attacks by Boko Haram and armed groups.
