And Adwan added: “Of course, the role of the Administration and Justice Committee is one of the main committees, and Parliament should restore its role and be supplemented by the Administration and Justice Committee. In this context, we will ask the Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, to set aside a meeting every month to discuss the government. This is a discussion with the government so that it effectively exercises its control, and I will put this question to the speaker of parliament.”

He explained: “The second issue is related to the laws that have been issued but are not implemented. There was a committee in the last parliament dedicated to this issue. He saw that “today all people complain about some judges. I repeat and repeat about some judges. This does not mean that there are no excellent judges and they do their job in the worst conditions. This does not mean that there are no qualified judges. and they have a conscience, but there are also 3 types of judges: there are judges who do not work as expected in accordance with the law, and the Inspectorate and the Judicial Council must play their role in this area.”

He continued: “Secondly, there are judges who work and go against the law and do their job for personal reasons or politics, which I won’t go into and that needs to be fought. There is a group of judges who evade responsibility, which means that this judge evades the implementation of the law.”

Adwan confirmed, “There is another category of judges who are doing their job well and we have to support them. For all these reasons, we will extend an invitation to the Minister of Justice and hope that the President of the Judicial Council will be with him. In our opinion, the Judicial Auditing Council has a role to play in this regard. In this context, we look forward to the Attorney General’s comments on the independence of the judiciary in order to move it forward as soon as possible by the General Assembly.
