The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the G7 summit statement, noting that it “has bad political intentions and will not push us to abandon our positions”, noting that “the allegations about our country in the G7 statement are unfair and groundless.”

She stated that “the G7 statement destabilizes security and hinders internal security in the Gulf region”, stressing that the statement is “a blatant and deliberate violation of the nuclear agreement and justifies Washington’s sanctions against us”, explaining that “the seven countries must compensate their wrong policy and seize the opportunity for negotiation.”

And she felt that “embracing diplomacy and working to lift sanctions can restore calm to the negotiations and make them fruitful,” stating that “our missile program is defensive, legal, and non-negotiable.”

The G7 emphasized preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, condemning “the continuation of its destabilizing operations in the region”, and in its closing statement called on Tehran to stop “operations related to ballistic missiles and threats to maritime navigation”, noting that “diplomacy is the best way to » stop Iran’s nuclear program.
