Israeli Channel 12 reported: “The Israeli government intends to ask US President Joe Biden to agree to the supply of an Israeli laser-driven air defense system to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.”

The channel pointed out that “the plan is to supply the Iron Beam system to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which is the latest defense system in Israel and is considered the cheapest way to shoot down drones and missiles.”

According to the channel, US correspondent Mike Wagenheim said this sends a signal to Tehran that the Israeli-Arab alliance is serious and growing and that the Iranians will have to think twice or maybe thrice before they take the next step. .

In the same context, the US administration has indicated its interest in expanding the normalization arrangements that were reached between Israel and the Arab countries under the previous US administration, and the possible Iron Beam deal is seen as a step in this direction.

The Israeli laser-driven air defense system was designed and manufactured by Rafael Defense Systems and was unveiled at the Singapore Air Show on February 11, 2014.
