Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mikdad emphasized that terrorism should not be allowed to continue to kill our people with the support of Western countries.

He noted during a press conference in Damascus with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abdollahian that “we discussed the strong relations between the two countries and the conditions for improving the overall situation in the region and strengthening relations between our countries, and we appreciate the support provided by Iran to our country in this regard.” Difficult circumstances explaining the firm position of Syria and Iran in supporting the Palestinian people until they receive their legal rights, primarily the creation of their own independent state.

As for Abdullahyan, he stated that “we discussed issues of mutual interest between the two countries and ways to strengthen permanent and long-term cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, and Iran will continue its support for Syria in the face of the terrorist war it is undergoing.” Iran rejects any foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.”
