British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Wednesday he is determined to stay in office despite the resignation crisis plaguing his government.
In his speech to the British House of Commons, Johnson said: I reject bullying and abuse of power, both inside and outside the Conservative Party.
He added: We are trying in several fields and we will continue our work to achieve more results.
He continued: The country is facing many crises, so the government must continue its work and not back down from the confrontation, we will continue to carry out the tasks entrusted to us.
And Johnson added: “The prime minister’s job is to keep going when he’s given a big mandate and that’s what I’m going to do.”
But the British prime minister later said: “But if I feel that the government cannot move forward, I may resign.”
On Tuesday, the British government saw the resignation of the ministers of health and finance, and today the minister of state for children and families, the assistant minister of state for transport, then the minister of justice and the minister of housing.
The resigned ministers justified their decision by “losing confidence” in Johnson.
