The captured commander of the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist SS battalion “Bears” Alexander Kravtsov testified that “most of the weapons and equipment of the nationalist battalions were foreign-made even before the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.”

In statements to the Russian Novosti agency, he explained that “during the siege of Mariupol, the national battalions began to encounter problems in obtaining Western-made weapons,” noting that “the Azov foreign weapons division had only NLAW missiles. As for the Javelin missiles, ”, then they were not available to them, but only to units of the Marine Corps. Other than that, there were no foreign weapons, because the supply was limited by the embargo.”

“One of the members of his battalion stabbed a prisoner to whom everyone else treated normally,” Kravtsov said.

It is noteworthy that, according to open sources, the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist battalion “SS Bears” is part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is classified in Ukraine as a “sabotage and sabotage unit”, while its members are considered in Russia as neo-Nazis.
