The US Defense Cooperation Agency indicated that the US administration has approved a possible sale to Germany of 35 F-35 fighters, as well as parts and weapons worth $8.4 billion.

The agency, affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense, sent a notice of approval to Congress, noting in a statement that “the sale to Germany of 35 latest fifth generation fighters and 37 related engines is expected, in addition to a large supply of ammunition.”

In a separate context, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that “the United States will send four additional HIMARS systems as part of the next aid package to Ukraine.”

US President Joe Biden announced last month a new military aid package for Ukraine that includes HIMARS light mobile rocket launchers. “With additional funding for Ukraine, which Congress has overwhelmingly approved with bipartisan support, the United States can continue to supply Ukraine with more weapons,” he said.
