Will Smith apologized to Chris again (Video)

Nearly three months after Chris Rock was slapped at the Oscars, American actor Will Smith is back with a new five-minute video in which he answers a series of questions related to the incident.

Smith began the video, which he posted on his official YouTube account, with the caption: “Over the past few months, I’ve done a lot of thinking and personal work. Questions that took me a while to answer. “

Smith then appeared, sitting on what appeared to be a sofa in his home, and began to read and answer questions.

Smith initially responded to why he didn’t apologize to Chris Rock while accepting the Oscar, saying, “It was a blur, it was all a blur,” noting that he has since reached out to Rock but is not ready to talk.

“I’m telling you Chris, I apologize, my behavior was unacceptable, if you’re ready to talk, I’m here,” he added.

I also apologize to Rock’s mother, Tony Rock’s brother (whom he described as one of his old friends) and his entire family.

Of the moment he slapped Chris Rock, he said, “I’ve spent the last three months re-watching that clip and understanding the nuances and intricacies of what happened in that moment. The right way to act in that moment.”

While Smith denied that his wife, Jada Pinkett, was the one who encouraged him to do the slapping, insisting that “he did it by choice and Jada had nothing to do with it.”

Smith ended his video by addressing longtime fans disappointed by his actions, saying, “Disappointing people is my main shock. I hate when people are disappointed, so it hurts.”

He continued: “It hurts me emotionally and psychologically, because I was not up to the level of people’s imagination and perception of me. What I am trying to do is to let people know that I feel very sorry.”
