Portugal and Cuba renewed their bilateral cooperation program this Thursday and are committed to expanding cooperation relations in areas such as language, education, science, technology, culture, sports, youth and media, announced the Camões Institute.
This bilateral cooperation program, established within the framework of the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between Portugal and Cuba of 1998, aims to replace the previous program, starting in 2016.

The program provides for the development of cooperation with Cuban universities, for the promotion and teaching of the Portuguese language and culture, through Camões – Institute of Cooperation and Language, as well as the study of the possibility of integrating the teaching of Portuguese as a language foreign. in Cuban universities, with a curricular nature.
According to Camões, it is still planned cooperation for the exchange of scholarships and the creation of internet platformsspecifically for distance learning in Portuguese and Spanish.
