The Serbian Ministry of Defense said in a statement released by the Russian TASS news agency that “due to the huge amount of false information that the administration of Pristina (Kosovo) publishes online through fake accounts and separate portals, in which alleged clashes between the Serbian army and so called the Kosovo police. The Ministry of Defense reports that the Serbian army has not yet crossed the administrative line and entered the province of Kosovo and Metohija.”

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an address to citizens that the situation in Kosovo and Metohija had become as complicated as possible for the Serbs.

Earlier in the day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in an address to citizens after the alarm was sounded in the northern Serb-populated areas of Kosovo, said that “the Kosovo police will begin an operation in the north of the province at midnight on August 1. “Citizens with personal documents issued by the Republic of Serbia will not be allowed to enter,” the Evening News agency reports.

Vučić urged the Albanian authorities in Kosovo to “keep the peace” and warned that “Serbia will win” in case of fighting against the Serbs in Kosovo.
