In a TV interview, he accused China of “constantly threatening Taiwan for years, and it has become more serious in recent years. On the other hand, Taiwan’s foreign minister said, “Taiwan is more resilient than ever. Look at Taiwan today. China is trying to impose trade sanctions on Taiwan, trying to attack Taiwan by military or non-military means. Life goes on here in Taiwan and shows great resilience.”

Notably, China recently held the largest military exercise around Taiwan in decades in response to Pelosi’s visit to the island, which Beijing met with strong opposition and great anger and repeatedly warned the US and Taiwan of its consequences.
