Despite not participating in the match, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has captured the attention of the media as he posed for a snap before the match with ex-Liverpool star Jimmy Carragher.
While Carragher stood alongside former Premier League stars Gary Neville and Roy Keane inside Old Trafford to analyze the match for Sky Sports, Ronaldo went to the Channel team during the warm-up.

Ronaldo immediately went to his former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville and warmed up, then went up to club legend Roy Keane and hugged him, not reaching out when Carragher wanted to say goodbye to Ronaldo. He just shook his head. Without looking at him
The shot sparked controversy on social media and fans saw it as the moment Ronaldo “insulted” Carragher and embarrassed him live.
Carragher has been a vocal critic of the Portuguese star since he returned to Manchester United last year and has urged the club to get rid of the player as soon as possible.
And the fans considered this blow as Ronaldo’s “revenge” against Caragar.
Carragher is considered an icon for Liverpool FC, as he represented the club in more than 700 games over 17 years and is among the Reds’ most representative players.
