The British newspaper Daily Mail reported that a quarter of the families participating in the government’s program to accommodate Ukrainian refugees are about to withdraw from the program due to the high cost of living and lack of funding.

She added: “Participants reported that the financial crisis in the country made it difficult for them to take care of immigrants on a daily basis, and they themselves were without money to live on,” noting that “some Brits have spent thousands of pounds looking after refugees, and the state has pledged to provide monthly allowances to each foster family, but you are late with payments.”

Residents of Britain complain of great difficulties due to the language barrier and cultural differences, and a misunderstanding between British sponsors and refugees leads to the fact that Ukrainians find themselves without a roof over their heads. According to official information from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, over the past six months, about 8.8 million people have left Ukraine.
