The Ukrainian woman who was promised Russian citizenship… then betrayed her husband and her country!

A sum of money and Russian citizenship were the temptations that led a young Ukrainian woman to reveal the location of a Ukrainian battalion so that Russian forces could bomb her, knowing in advance that her husband was among the battalion’s members. He had a son from him.

In the details of the case disclosed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), this woman, the wife and mother of a 31-year-old soldier from Dnipropetrovsk, provided Russian intelligence with the location of military buildings and military equipment in Donetsk and Zaporizhia, two regions that have seen heavy fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces.

According to the “Insider” website, the security service added that it arrested the woman for revealing the whereabouts of her husband’s military unit and other information related to the army to the Russian forces.

According to a statement issued by the country’s security department, the woman, whose name has not been revealed, is a “traitor”.

According to a statement from the State Security Service, the accused asked her husband for help and asked “about the position of her military unit and other groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in advanced positions.”

“She did this even though she is married to a soldier in the armed forces and they have a son together. Her husband on the Eastern Front regularly transferred money to support the children,” the ministry said.

She added that she “sent classified intelligence information about the location of her husband’s military unit and other Ukrainian organizations to a Russian soldier.”

And he added that the Russian soldier gave the information “to Russian military intelligence, which shared it with front-line combat groups and used it in artillery shelling, mortar shelling and airstrikes.”

He explained that he “promised that if they succeed in capturing the region, he will receive Russian citizenship and high living standards.”

He noted: “This woman started spying for the Russians in May and was arrested on September 2, and Ukrainian forces confiscated her computer and smartphone.”
