Israeli Ambassador to Manama Eitan Nayeh indicated that “his country has signed 41 agreements with Bahrain covering various areas”, stressing the importance of the “Abrahamic Accords” in order to strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially in the face of what he called “challenges” requiring collaboration.
In an interview with the Al-Ayyam newspaper, he pointed out that “relations between the two countries are under construction, since it is impossible to give a comprehensive assessment of what has been achieved without diminishing the importance of the work done. this was achieved through cooperation both between the two governments and the private sector in both countries”, noting the importance of strengthening the tourism sector and cultural exchange.
Naeya expressed his hope that there will be many Bahraini students in his country who will be educated in Israel, especially in the field of computer science, stating that there is a shortage of personnel working in this field in his country, which provides good opportunities for Bahrainis to receive education in this field. specialization, and gain experience. Having studied there, and got a job in Israeli companies.
In September last year, Israel, Bahrain and the UAE signed the Abraham Accords, which provide for the normalization of relations; Morocco and Sudan joined them. This comes decades after Israel signed two peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan.
