The Chikan armored vehicles are less well-known compared to other Russian-made armored vehicles, but are actively involved in the Russian special operation against the Kyiv regime. According to media reports, it has previously been successfully used in other armed conflicts, including in Syria, where it helped counter international terrorists.

It was specially made for the Russian Wagner special forces. It travels at a speed of 120 km / h for a distance of 1000 km, overcomes water obstacles 1.5 meters deep, weighs 11,000 kg, has an engine power of 240 horses, and carries 18 armed people.

As it became known the other day in the press service of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic, military experts compare the Chikan tanker with the American-made Cayman armored personnel carrier and the Egyptian Temsakh-2 tanker. All three models are three-axle vehicles and have good armor that protects them from mines.

The Russian model is based on the Russian Ural all-wheel drive platform, which has excellent climbing ability, but differs from analogues in the presence of a turret equipped with two machine guns: a 14.5 mm KBVT heavy machine gun and a 7.62 mm light machine gun provide tremendous firepower.
