Informed sources told Bloomberg that Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is in the process of reaching an agreement to supply six shipments of liquefied natural gas to Germany next year.

The agency cited sources: “Six shipments will be added to an initial shipment that will be delivered as early as December.”

In this context, the agency said that “Germany is looking for new sources of gas after the government provided five floating facilities for the import of liquefied natural gas to help reduce dependence on Russian fuel and ease the unprecedented energy price crisis.”

And it is indicated that “the first batch – 137,000 cubic meters – will be delivered by ADNOC to the plant of the German company RWE in late September – early 2023.”

A spokesman for the German economy ministry said: “Additional deliveries have been planned, but the exact amount is not yet clear and negotiations are ongoing.”
