Russian media reported on Saturday that the fire at the Crimea bridge was caused by a truck bomb.
Russian media, citing the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee, reported that a truck exploded on the Kerch bridge at dawn on Saturday, and some of the fuel tanks of the train that was moving over the bridge caught fire.
For its part, the Crimean Railway Administration announced on Saturday that no injuries were reported as a result of the fire in the fuel tank above the Crimean Bridge.
The adviser to the president of Ukraine also described the explosion on the Kerch bridge as “the beginning” and said: “Everything that is illegal must be destroyed.”
The Kerch Pass is a pair of land and rail bridges built by Russia after the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.

According to the media center of Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee, a fuel tank on a freight train caught fire as a result of a truck explosion on the bridge, which caused the fire.
Vladimir Konstantinov, head of the Crimean Council, said: “Ukraine is behind this incident and the damage to the Crimean bridge will be repaired immediately.”
Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the President of Crimea, for his part emphasized that “according to preliminary information, there were no casualties in this incident.”
