The rumor quickly spread on the internet and went viral on various social media. The origin is in a screenshot of an alleged news from the Brazilian newspaper g1which belongs to Globe.

“LGBT priority parking spaces will be mandatory by 2024,” reads the title of the alleged Globo article, adding shortly after. the measure will be applied in supermarkets and shopping centers.

By searching the website in question with the word “parking” or with the acronym “LGBT”, it is not possible to find the news mentioned in the posts.

own Globo denied the rumor interested, saying that such information was not published on the website. and that the image that is in the actions is manipulated and fraudulent.

As in Portugal, in Brazil there are parking spaces for pregnant women and people with special needs or reduced mobility, as well as spaces for the elderly.
