The bad debts of public entities reached 524 million euros in May, a drop of 93.3 million euros compared to the same period in 2023, reveals the summary of budget execution.
“At the end of May, the delinquency of public entities amounted to 524 million euros, which represents a a drop of 93.3 million euros compared to the same period last year,” reads the document published this Friday by the General Directorate of Budget (DGO).
Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 55.6 million euros.
For homologous evolution weighed in on the decline observed in the health sector (-155.3 million euros), in Reclassified Public Entities (-12.3 million euros) and in Local Administration (-5.9 million euros).
This reduction was mitigated by the increase in the Regional Administration (48.8 million euros) and the Central Administration (31.4 million euros), excluding the health subsector.
The EPE Health Units (48.7 million euros) and the Regional Administration (10.6 million euros) contributed to the monthly variation, an impact “partially offset” by the decrease experienced by the Central Administration (-2.9 million euros), excluding the health subsector. .
