Rapper Travis Scott and his fans will have to wait a bit to reunite with the public since his first performance at the festival since the tragedy on Astroworld was canceled in 2021.
Day N Vegas event organizers announced Friday that the long-awaited show has been canceled due to “a combination of logistics, scheduling and production issues.”
The festival did not say what led to the cancellation, but confirmed that “the refund process will begin immediately.”
The Nevada Festival is scheduled to take place over the Labor Day weekend of September 2-4.

According to Breitbart News, Scott’s performance at Day N Vegas will mark Scott’s return to public life after last year’s Houston Astroworld festival, where 10 people were killed and many more injured after a fatal crowd during his performance.
A class action lawsuit filed in May states that approximately 4900 people were injured at Astroworld, of whom 732 were injured “serious” and required extensive medical attention.
Nearly 400 lawsuits were filed separately for injuries and deaths, many against Live Nation and Scott.
After the incident, Scott shared a statement expressing his “devastation” on the turn of events.
The rapper’s lawyer, Travis Scott, said his client “didn’t know what was going on” at the Astroworld music festival last week in Houston, Texas, where at least nine people watching the concert were killed by most of his presentation. https://t.co/NzUdW7Acp5

In the months that followed, the rapper in the “Highest Room” remained low profile, performing at a few private gigs.
These include a brief guest appearance at the Coachella party on April 17 and a special pre-Oscars party at Bel-Air on March 26.
The rapper made his first television appearance since Astroworld, where he performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in May.
