The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected an application by Egyptian club Al Ahly to postpone the CAF Champions League final against Moroccan Vidad scheduled for next Monday at the Mohammed V Stadium in the Moroccan capital.

And the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced in a statement on its official website that it has received a decision from the Court of Sport in its favor on Al-Ahly’s complaint against him, as it rejected Al-Ahly’s request to postpone the final match of the African Champions League.

He explained that he is obliged to comply with the decision of the Executive Committee, taken in July 2019, according to which the winner of the CAF Champions League will be determined in one final match.

He noted that hosting the African Champions League final was awarded to Morocco after Senegal withdrew its bid, which was the only other country to meet the conditions for hosting, adding that it is committed to the principles of fairness, fairness and equality between all clubs and associations. -members and will always treat all clubs and member associations fairly and equally.
