NBA first-round pick and Purdue basketball star Caleb Swanigan has passed away at the age of 25.

According to reports, Purdue basketball player Caleb Swanigan died of natural causes at the age of 25.

According to Fox News, Swanigan is an inspirational figure who seems to have a long basketball career ahead of him, from a homeless teenager to a college basketball star to his NBA first draft pick in a few years.

The university tweeted about his death.

“Surprised. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Caleb Suanigan’s family and friends. The world lost a soft soul last night,” he tweeted. “I love you Biggie.”

The Allen County Coroner’s office in Fort Wayne, Indiana said Swanigan died of “natural causes,” but no further details were released.

At the age of 13, Suanigan lived in five different residences as her education was interrupted when her poor family moved from Indianapolis to Utah and was placed in more than a dozen schools.

But when he was named a McDonald’s All-American in 2015 and in high school, Mr. Indiana Basketball. He later joined the Winners and continued his basketball record. He also helped the USA Under-17 and Under-19 teams win gold medals at the World Championships.
