Virginia Tech lost multiple games to visit Old Dominion when it learned that some of his personal belongings were stolen from the visiting team’s locker rooms after the game.
Virginia Tech lost their game against the Monarchs 20-17 on September 2, but they also lost some of their personal belongings as the game continued, according to Hokies players.
Authorities said someone broke into the locker room and ran away with “under $8,000” in property.
“The Virginia Tech Athletic Department has confirmed that items are missing from the Virginia Tech locker room following Friday night’s soccer game against Old Dominion in Norfolk. The Old Dominion University Police Department said it was aware of the incident and was investigating.
The school also assured Virginia Tech that the police were investigating the matter, saying, “ODU Athletics sincerely apologizes to Virginia Tech, the Virginia Tech athletic administration, and the youth whose belongings were stolen. The ODU Police Department is working diligently to resolve the incident.”
