The Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun is an American made 7+1 shotgun perfect for home defense and other security purposes.
The 940 Pro is chambered in 3 inches with a tubular magazine located under the barrel. We fired various rounds from the cannon with almost no problems. It spins with incredible fluidity and the gun is perfectly balanced.
Balanced and smooth cycling are features that will allow homeowners and security personnel to shoot defensively in a fast and controlled manner in corridors, garages and similar areas if they are under pressure in a dangerous situation.
The 940 Pro is equipped with a fiber optic front sight and an optical rear receiver. On the 940 Pro we reviewed, we red-dot the Trijicon RMRcc, and the scope/shotgun combo was great. By design, the 940 Pro is fast to target, and the RMRcc is also built for fast retrieval, making the two products great when paired with each other.
The front and rear stocks are made of black synthetic material, while the rear stock has a stock pad that takes cushioning to the next level. (The 940 Pro’s smooth ride and backplate work in tandem to minimize recoil.)
When it comes to home safety and security, people have many options to choose from to protect themselves, their families, and their businesses. When we aimed the 940 Pro Tactical and scanned the magazines filled with Federal 00 Buck ammo, it was clear that this shotgun was at the top of that list of options.
