FTC Chairman Lina Khan speaks at an event about Marxists adoring the Soviet Union

FTC Chairman Lina Khan, one of the earliest federal appointments made by the Biden administration, will speak today about her Law and Political Economy (LPE) project at Yale Law School, an academic institution that is the Soviet law program and hosts events. with the Democratic Socialists. America (DSA).

Khan will talk about the future of antitrust and regulation at a relatively small event. But in the past, LPE has addressed more extreme issues.

LPE has recently partnered with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) to sponsor an openly partisan event called How We Win. According to the LPE’s own website, the purpose of the event is to educate participants on how to advance the goals of socialism.

The event aims to “share lessons and practical experiences from successful nationwide campaigns, demonstrating how democratic socialist organizers and coalitions can move forward and achieve tangible successes in support of economic and social justice goals.”

The LPE also hosted an academic symposium on “socialist constitutionalism” attended by various academies that support socialist models of government and economy.

As if to show its open sympathy for the ideology, the LPE placed the DSA rose logo on all the papers at the symposium.

LPE also has several academic programs such as “Soviet Law: Its Origins and Development”, “Designing Realistic Utopias” and “Marxism and Feminism”.

Khan has a long history at LPE and has been writing articles for the project since 2017. Now, as the head of one of DC’s most powerful regulators, he will return despite the convention that FTC brokers eschew partisanship and ideological extremism.
