On Sunday, Mark Levin, host of Fox News’ Life, Liberty & Levin, spoke out against the committee’s ongoing investigation into the January 6 riots at the US Capitol.
Levin described the hearings as “illegal” and said that during the committee’s eight first-class hearings, nothing was known about former President Donald Trump’s misconduct.
“What have we learned from this trial? “We found this trial to be illegitimate,” Levin stressed. It is illegal, not only because of the law, but also because Congress should not do it.”
He added: “What have we learned? Eight hearings, public hearings, and this eighth hearing, we learned nothing. Nothing. There is nothing we don’t already know. Oh, there are little things here and there. You know what? This is not entirely true. These rumors have been confirmed – are you ready? Donald Trump had no direct role in the violence at the Capitol Building on January 6. Not exactly. How do we know this? Because they didn’t show. They have videos. It has lyrics. It had graphics. They have e-mails. They have papers. They have witnesses. Remember a phrase where Donald Trump directed, ordered, or even encouraged a violent attack? Not implied. It’s not an opinion. Not the result. But is there any real truth? No, you didn’t find anything because there was nothing.”
