The Russian Defense Ministry said “a shipment of Western weapons with precision-guided missiles was destroyed in the Zhytomyr region west of Kyiv,” noting that its fighter jets shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 bomber during fighting in the Donetsk region.
In its daily report, the ministry said “14 Ukrainian drones were also shot down,” noting that “we hit 77 Ukrainian military installations and two Grad launchers in the city of Kharkiv.”
And the pro-Russian Donetsk forces announced this morning that they have “captured 188 cities and residential areas since the start of the military operation in Ukraine.” It is also reported that “over the past day, 23 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.”
And yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that “Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that he had taken control of the entire Azovstal plant, including its underground tunnels.”
