Israel’s Shin Bet security service has defeated a Hamas terrorist cell made up of Palestinians from East Jerusalem planning attacks on high-profile targets, including hawk Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir.
Five people were arrested for planning to shoot Ben Gvir, as well as kidnapping Israeli soldiers and organizing a suicide attack in Jerusalem. Authorities also seized a drone intended to be used as a weapon in the attack on a tram in Jerusalem.
