Russian troops maintain the offensive in the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk, eastern Lugansk region, with several assault operations in recent hours, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The enemy (Russia) is conducting assault operations.” supported by mortar fire in Severodonetsk and the neighboring towns of Bobrove and Ustynivka, says the latest Ukrainian military report.
According to the same source, in the last 24 hours, Ukrainian forces “fought 13 enemy attacks in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions and destroyed two tanks, six artillery systems, eight armored combat vehicles and four trucks.”
Even so, in Donetsk, Russian forces maintain attacks against Ukrainian positions, with mortar fire and field artillery.
kyiv also claims that Russia continues to spread “disinformation” messages about Ukrainian forces who are supposedly barricaded in schools, hospitals and kindergartens to justify the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
The same report adds that Russian forces continue to use the network of civilian medical facilities in the occupied territories to treat wounded soldiers.
The kyiv Armed Forces document also calls for the destruction of Russian ships in the Dnieper River estuary and accuses Moscow of blocking civilian shipping in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov.
