The Israeli website Walla reported that “The United States has asked Israel to allow a symbolic presence of Palestinian Authority forces on the border with Jordan during the upcoming visit of US President Joe Biden.”

He pointed out that “the United States has asked Israel to refrain from taking steps in the West Bank and East Jerusalem that could heighten tensions with the Palestinians until Biden’s visit scheduled for July 13,” noting that “Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas” is disappointed Israel’s actions in the West Bank and is outraged by US policy on the Israeli-Palestinian issue and threatens to take countermeasures against Israel, such as ending security coordination and activities in UN agencies, or even revoking Israel’s recognition.

The website says, “The Biden administration is trying to reassure the Palestinians and make sure the Biden visit doesn’t take place during a time of crisis and escalation,” noting that “U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs Barbara Leaf and her deputy Hadi Ammar met with a United States official liberation of Palestine by Hussein al-Sheikh.
