A satellite image taken on Thursday shows damage to Aleppo International Airport in northern Syria after an airstrike attributed to Israel.
The Times of Israel published satellite images taken by the American company Planet Labs and provided by Aurora Intel, a network that provides updates and news from open sources, because this Images show a charred area near the end of the ground. Bond
Aurora Intel Networks said that several vehicles were seen near the affected area in the image, possibly making repairs to the damaged runway.
Also seen in the photos is a radio navigation system south of the runway, which is used to help planes navigate their way.

And on Wednesday, the Syrian news agency (SANA), citing a “military source,” announced that around 12:00 noon on Wednesday, the Aleppo International Airport was hit by an “Israeli” missile, which resulted in “material damage to the airport.”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that “four Israeli missiles targeted the runway of the Aleppo International Airport and the warehouses around it, which led to fires and explosions that are believed to be Iranian missile cargo.”
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, based on the information of the flight tracking service, this attack took place just before the landing of the Iranian plane subject to US sanctions at the Aleppo airport.
But “Aurora Intel” network reported that an Iranian cargo plane, which was under sanctions, landed at Aleppo airport hours before the attack. It is not known whether the plane or the cargo it was traveling in was hit in the attack.
Since the start of the war in Syria in 2011, Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes targeting Syrian army sites, Iranian targets, and Lebanese Hezbollah targets.
Israel rarely confirms strikes in Syria, but insists it will continue to counter what it describes as Iran’s efforts to consolidate its military presence in Syria.
The Israeli army considers these attacks necessary to prevent its main enemy from reaching Israel’s borders.
The Times of Israel says Aleppo is a large city in northern Syria near its border with Turkey and is an unusual — if not unprecedented — target for reported Israeli airstrikes.
