She stated that “Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheith on September 6 demanded that Arab issues remain at the center of attention and that global crises not overshadow their flaming counterparts in the Arab world.”

According to his speech delivered at a regular meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ Consultative Meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, Abul Gheit believed that “global crises should not overshadow the raging crises in the region, which are still far from a political solution.”
He added: “In Syria, for example, the situation continues to suffer from increasing stagnation amid escalating international polarization, an unstable security situation, and a dangerous deterioration in economic and social conditions throughout the country.”
