In statements to Lusa, the commander of the Porto Municipal Police, António Leitão, said that in the back of the commercial establishment, located on Rua de Antero de Quental, the inspection teams found “an extended set of beds and bunk beds”. , which housed immigrants from Bangladesh.
“In the back of the supermarket there was an illegal accommodation with poor health conditions”, he said.
At the scene, agents found 11 beds, housing at least six immigrants, including two children. The six immigrants have already been referred to Social Security.
