    The Israeli army launched an operation in the Tulkarem area in the northwest of the West Bank today, after bombing the Nur Shams refugee camp on Sunday and killing a leader of Islamic Jihad.

    “Toward The Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Tulkarm today at dawn.”, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

    In the city, which is a refuge for dozens of members of the Tulkarem Brigade linked to the armed groups Fatah and Islamic Jihad, clashes broke out today between members of the militias and Israeli soldiers.

    An Israeli attack took place in the same area on Sunday, killing one person and injuring five people, two of whom were seriously injured.

    Israel launched a series of attacks on villages in southern Lebanon toward Hezbollah targets, according to Aljazeera, citing information from Radio Army. The retaliation comes after a drone attack that injured 18 Israeli soldiers this Sunday.

    The shots were reportedly fired from Khan Younis. Some rockets were shot down by air defenses, others hit southern Israel. There were no injuries or damage.
