Biden’s “united” family asks him to go fight Trump and avoids giving up

Joe Biden has been discussing the next steps of the campaign with his top advisors and has scheduled a crucial meeting for this Monday that could redefine his course.

After criticism for the poor performance in last week’s presidential election debate, the family of the president of the United States defends the continuation of his campaign by Joe Biden. “The whole family is united,” a well-placed White House source told the New York Times, adding that Biden will not drop out of the race and that was not a possibility on the table. “You have to stand up and fight,” was what the family told the American president, according to the same source.

Lots of personal attacks and even an argument about golf. Debate with Trump leaves Democrats worried about Biden’s ability

Earlier this week, the US First Lady had already spoken out in defence of her husband following the poor outcome of the debate, acknowledging that the head of state is no longer “young”.

Biden “may not be young” but “he knows how to tell the truth,” says Jill Biden in speech after the Biden-Trump debate

“He’s not a young man. After the debate last night, he said, ‘You know, Jill, I don’t know what happened. I didn’t feel very well,’” Jill Biden said during an event in New York. “My husband knows how to tell the truth. When he gets knocked down, Joe gets up, and that’s what we’re doing today.”

Another of the most insistent voices in defense of the current American president’s campaign is that of his son, Hunter Biden, who has long been a faithful advisor to his father during his mandate and campaign.

According to The New York Times, Hunter wants America to see his father as a “strong man with a command of the facts” and not as “old and hesitant.” Joe Biden has been discussing the next steps of the campaign with his top advisers and A crucial meeting is scheduled for Monday that could determine his future.

However, internal disputes among Democrats flared after one of the campaign’s biggest financiers, John Morgan, publicly blamed three of Joe Biden’s top advisers on his social media accounts for his poor performance in the debate.

Ron Klain, Bob Bauer and Anita Dunn, mentioned by Morgan, were primarily responsible for preparing Joe Biden for the last debate, both in gathering information and in debate rehearsals, where Bauer played his opponent, Donald Trump.

Despite the criticism, the president himself and his family did not consider the advisors as the reasons for the negative result. Advisors declined to comment on the preparation, but Ron Klain said he was confident in Biden’s victory.

“It’s a tough, close race and he’s the person who can win it,” Klain said in response to the New York Times. “We had a bad night of debate. But campaigns are won by fighting, not by giving in.”he added.

The US president also received public support from long-time Democratic Party figures such as his predecessor in the White House, Barack Obama, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“There are bad debate nights. Believe me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary people his entire life and someone who only cares about himself,” Obama wrote on his X profile.

Despite Joe Biden’s refusal, some of the major newspapers in the United States insisted on asking him to withdraw from the race.

Major American newspapers are calling for Biden to drop out of the race. What does it take to make this happen?

In a poll conducted by CBS and YouGov following the debate between the two presidential candidates, 72% of American voters considered that Biden does not have the mental and cognitive health to be president, seven points more than at the beginning of June.
