Minister of Internal Administration promises to review GNR and PSP supplements in 2023

The Interior Minister assured this Wednesday that the police will have “real earnings on all levels and compensation levels even after IRS discounts” and promised to review the GNR and PSP supplements in 2023.

José Luís Carneiro and Secretary of State for Internal Administration, Isabel Oneto, will meet this afternoon with the socio-professional structures of the National Republican Guard (GNR) and the unions of the Public Security Police in the area of ​​collective negotiation on wage appreciation in the forces of security.

In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI) affirms that José Luís Carneiro transmitted the Government’s commitment to study, in 2023, “the deepening of the measuresin the field of health, hygiene and safety at work, which will have an impact on the budget, having also assumed the “commitment to review, next year, the work carried out in the previous legislature at the level of the GNR and table of supplements PSP”.

At the meeting, the minister reaffirmed that PSP and GNR staff with gross salaries of up to 1,163 euros will have, next year, increases in their base salary from 90.64 to 107.70 euros (between 10.9% and 12.7%) based on paid positions.

The MAI points out that this increase “is added to an increase in the supplement for service and risk between 18.13 and 21.54 euros (6.92% and 7.99%)”.

The sergeants of the GNR and chiefs of the PSP, as well as the officers of the two security forces, will have increases of 52.11 euros in gross salaries up to 2,570.82 euros and 2% in salaries above that amount, plus the increase in the supplement for service and risk between 1.7% and 3.1%, depending on the base salary.

According to the MAI, José Luís Carneiro also pointed out that “there will be real gains at all scales and salary levels.” even after IRS discounts have been applied????????

The unions of the PSP and the socio-professional associations of the GNR will have a new meeting in the MAI next Wednesday.
